Dear Dpctor sahib,
This is very brief and to the point reply ,thanks so much. Very noble cause, no doubt. What about my career? Iqbal said in one of his Persian verse,
"Choonan barussi k ager mergay toost mergay dwam.
khooda zakerday khood shermsar ter gerdud.
Docter sahib, does not God give any assurance for a better life here after as a result of our better performance here? Or we will have to put him to shame for not ending our career and than he will consider our request???? Is there anything in Quran regarding this aspect.

The aim of life has been rightly interpreted by Dr Qamar as follows
Provide peace to others
Provide safety to fellow human beings
Work for prosperity of the community
But the Quran has different words to say
• Those who do not answer Allah's call will go to hell. 13/18
• Allah has prepared a painful doom for those who disbelieve in the Hereafter. 17/10
• Allah will send disbelievers astray. Then he'll burn them in hell, increasing the flames from time to time. 17/97-98
• Fight the disbelievers! Allah is on your side; he will give you victory. 9/12-14
• Allah will destroy every town before the Day of Resurrection. 17/58
• Allah drowned everyone in the flood of Noah, and has prepared a painful doom for evil-doers. 25/37
• Those who disbelieve in Allah's revelations will have a painful doom of wrath. 45/11
(The numbers give the Sura/Verse). There are hundreds of verses with similar messages. You may object to the translation and may give a completely different meaning to these verses. But the above translation is generally accepted by the majority of Muslims and objected by non-Muslims.
Dr Qamar and few other scholars before him tried to cleanse the book of such objectionable material and make it acceptable to non-Muslims.
If we explore history, the agonizing fact emerges that ever since the inception of Islam, the followers had been at war with rest of the world. During the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad, they had been fighting (GHAZWAT) with non-believers (those who did not accept their concept of God). During the Caliphate period after defeating Roman and Persian Empires, military expeditions were sent to Asia, Africa and Europe. These war expeditions were still on when the Crusades started. After the Crusades, the Turks, Mughals, Seljuk, Tatars, so on and so forth plunged the world into war. In the most recent history came the Middle East war, the Indo-Pak wars, etc, etc. And the Osama syndrome
Now the position is such that the whole world is terrorized by Islam. They have classified them as terrorists, extremists, radicals. The non-Muslim friends and neighbors of Muslims are dreaded. One Muslim travelling with hundreds of non-Muslims agonizes them all.
Did the Muslims ever “provide peace to others, provide safety to fellow human beings , work for prosperity of the community “.
They never seemed to have done it in the ancient history, neither in the medieval period nor during the later.

Q: In accordance with Quran what should be the ultimate goal/aim of life for a human-being?
A: As a hueman be always "in the state of Equilibrium" (Islam) provide, strive, with utmost justice to maintain this state (Muslim).
" The message of Quran ", The Glorious book asks, And who keep these Ships floated for you? or Who hold the birds in air?
Equilibrium. A body is said to be in a state of equilibrium when the resultant of all the forces that act on it is zero and the resultant moment of the forces is also zero. If a body, subject to a small disturbance, from the state of equilibrium tends to return to that state, it is said to posses a positive stability, if following the disturbance, the equilibrium is reduced even more then it has negative stability, The Condition of so called maintainers of equilibrium "Muslims" For Millenia.

Mr Shaheen
You brought in science, ships, birds and confused the whole thing, rather you sunk the ship .......................... ..........under the force of equilibrium. The question still stands like a lighthouse. Please be more specific.
Thank you

Let me be more specific for you
my brother in Islam.
You should not have spended your life with Allama's and Abu-al-alla's and should have attended some school, learn some science and maths, tools to understand Laws of Nature.
Who am i to bring science, ships, and birds please deny if i am wrongly stating some refrences from Al-Quran.
I am able to confuse a mind like your's, taking this as a compliment.
According to you, The Ship of Islam actually never floated.
The Question does not stand at all not for me atleast,
The message of Al-Quran for us "strive to maintain the balance". that is if fancy jargon confuses you.

Mr. Pervez,Iqbal kay shaheen! salam.Although the observations could be expressed in different ways,as Dr Qamar explaind his views "in a nut shell" but comprehensive in nature, the same could be achieved by the equilibrium state( to maintain the balance in the societies). Plz go through the verses 57/65, 42/17 which is the divine message for equilirium(to maintain the balance in the societies). Now go to the verses 55/7-9,15/19,6/152,7/85,11/84-85 and 82/17, these all verses are the divine order to maintain the balance.Mr Ikbal key shaheen is very right in his explaination, well done( the way he expressed).

Dear All,
1. Logical answer to brother Shariq's comments dated September 21 should have been correct meanings
of references quoted by him. References are 13/18 ,17/10 , 9/12-14 ,17/58 , 25/37 and 45/11.
2. What is message of Quran is one thing, and what so called Muslims have been doing in certain period of time
is another thing.

Comments by: pervez On 25 September 2010Report Abuse
Dear Shariq,
I would have explained to you all the verses you quoted but unfortunately I do not know Arabic.
So I avoid giving translations of holy Quran. Some one qualified in Arabic should have done that. Any way
you seem to me a very intelligent person and can prove an asset , if you think on what aastana aims at.
You have traditional meanings of Quranic verses in your mind. But here the things are different all together.
Here you will find new concepts, new meanings and new vision.
You will be welcome to disagree if you give reasons and prove everything wrong. Please do so.
There are terminologies in the verses you quoted. Had you understood them you would not have used them
in the meanings you used in your post. Hell, hereafter,Day of resurrection have different meanings.
Secondly what Muslim dictators have been doing has nothing to do with Quranic teachings. Had they
known true message of the book, aastana would not have been required today.
You wrote,
"If we explore history, the agonizing fact emerges that ever since the inception of Islam, the followers had been at war with rest of the world. During the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad, they had been fighting (GHAZWAT) with non-believers (those who did not accept their concept of God)"
You know, this is the world where good and evil are always at war. Light and darkness, life and death and so on
Can we go and find any world where there is no opposite.
What I want to say is why are you scared of war? It will always be there. However, its nature will change.
After all humanity has been fighting with disease to maintain health. You might say that what it has to do
with wars in which human beings are killed. But sometimes it becomes necessary to kill few to save many.
You have to analyze all wars and see their purpose and outcome. You will find wars for spread of good and
for evils designs too. If Muslims were at war with the world to spread good than what harm they did.
You know a Christian scholar, I am forgetting his name, probably, Michal hart ranked Prophet Muhammad
(pbuh)as No.1 in the great personalities of the world because of his positive influence on human race.
After all that was in recognition of his followers services to humanity.
Please keep posting your valuable comments. Opposite views prove great asset for learning. At least I have
learn t from you.

Dear Pervez
I think Mr Shariq knows what you tried to tell him, but he does not seems to agree with the new
interpretations. Am I right Mr Shariq? Please give reasons to disagree as brother Pervez suggested to
you. You may be having point. Please come out. Let us see what you have to say. Please give reasons
why you think these are futile efforts? What makes you so hopeless?
