Does this means personal wealth?
OR
Is it the collective wealth of a community in terms of human and natural resources?

Also I would like to know the exact meaning of the term خُذْ mentioned in 9:103.

It is to mention that I have done some research on the concept of wealth, which I would like to share here.

Wealth is the abundance of valuable resources or material possessions. The word wealth is derived from the old English wela, which is from an Indo-European word stem. An individual, community, region or country that possesses an abundance of such possessions or resources is known as wealthy.
The concept of wealth is of significance in all areas of economics, especially development economics, yet the meaning of wealth is context-dependent and there is no universally agreed upon definition. Generally, economists define wealth as "anything of value" which captures both the subjective nature of the idea and the idea that it is not a fixed or static concept. Various definitions and concepts of wealth have been asserted by various individuals and in different contexts. Defining wealth can be a normative process with various ethical implications, since often wealth maximization is seen as a goal or is thought to be a normative principle of its own.

According to my understanding, personal wealth can only be maximized using the following options;

1: Hoarding or Savings;
Collection of precious metals, commodities or money and keeping it under safe custody and increasing it constantly.
In terms of fair economics, (not mainstream economics or Keynesian economics), the act of hoarding or saving actually slows down the economy, since the material resources are not being utilized, rather they are kept out of reach of others.
A person when earns something, utilizing his abilities and potentials in form of human labor, to produce something of value, actually invokes an economic activity. This activity effects others in such a way that the person can exchange what he has produced to get what others have produced, and it reflects a situation where both the parties are transacting to satisfy their needs. This is an example of mutual benefit obtained as a result of a transaction and it adds up a positive effect on the economy as a whole, since the exchange involves production and consumption of valuable commodities and results in mutual satisfaction.
On the other hand, if a person initially produces something of value and then hold it (completely or partially) in his own possession, in order to increase its quantity or value, he is simply barring others as well as the economy from utilizing it.

2: Exploitation:
When a person or an entity has earned enough money or has enough resources at it's disposal, they can sit around and buy human labor to do various work on their behalf. In exchange of some share in form of remuneration, Other individuals will work to increase the wealth already possessed by the person of entity.
In simple words, the person or entity is having an unfair advantage of holding resources in their possession and increasing these resources by utilizing other people's effort, while dictating their own terms.
As a matter of fact, anything which is being earned by the efforts of other people, should be considered as their own property or fruits of their labor, rather than ending up in the pockets of those who are doing nothing but using unfair advantage of possessing resources or money to buy labor.

In our current economic system, no one can think about earning something which is considered as a complete return of his/her labor. Also that we need savings because the system itself is unpredictable. A person having no money or no resources is destined to die of hunger and poverty in this current system. Probably that is the reason why we always try to look at our own personal safety, our own personal needs and that is why we prefer saving money or resources instead of spending them freely, allowing others to benefit from them.

In short, maximization of personal wealth means as an act of stealing other's labor, as well as barring resources from others, in order to dictate one's own terms and conditions and unfortunately this is considered as a normal economic process where economic crisis, exploitation, poverty of masses, plundering, hunger and deprivation is considered as normal activities.

I would therefore like to know what is the real concept behind the following verses;

AND

Does the term ٱلْمَالَ and أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ reflects personal wealth?
OR
Does these terms reflect collective wealth of the society?

Are these verses telling us that we are allowed to hoard wealth or resources, become rich personally and pay out a share for the society?
OR
Are these verses telling us that we should utilize the best of our abilities, the best of our potentials to work and create economic activities benefiting ourselves, as well as the whole system?

Also I would like to ask whether Quran justifies the concept of becoming rich personally? Provided that you cannot become rich personally without negatively effecting the economic activities of the society, without hoarding, without saving and without exploiting others.

It is to mention that we have denounced the religion created by Mullah but we are yet to denounce the religion created by elites which is being followed unquestionably by almost all the population of this world and where fake entities known as corporations and banks, enjoy a status of legitimacy, allowing few elites to enjoy abundance, while they are depriving rest of the people from basic necessities of life, dictating their own terms and conditions.
A group of few elites are using fiat money which they create out of thin air and use it to buy all the resources and all the labor available in this world, and it all ends up adding more to their personal wealth.

Shouldn't we be denying this system based on myths, dogmas and rituals created by the so called "elites"?
shouldn't we try to stay NO to this system and stop feeding these elites?
Do we need an alternate concept of wealth and economy, which should be different from that which we have been following like zombies?
Isn't Quran speaking about something different when we see the word ٱلْمَالَ or أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ in it?
OR
Should we keep on treating these words according to the same religious myths created by the Imperial powers, the corporations and the banks, created on the concept of exploitation and economic aggression?

My question to you all is that;
Can you expect to live a happy life without possessing money in your pocket or bank accounts?
Can you expect living in this world safely, without keeping enough resources or money in your possession?
Can you expect living today in such a way that whatever you earn as a result of your labor, you spend it and make others to benefit from it, without worrying about tomorrow?
Can you expect provision of food, shelter, healthcare, education and other basic necessities without having money in your pockets or without depending on an entity called Government?
Do you really think that entities like Banks, which are producing fiat money are actually doing good to the economies?
Do you really think that the entities called corporations, promoting consumerism are doing good to the economies?
Do you really believe in becoming a part of this race called consumerism and do you believe in availing personal loans, mortgages etc. as a better option to fulfill your needs?
Do you really think the entities called Governments have the right to rob you in the name of tax collection and treat you as a collateral to borrow loans (from outside and within) to provide more opportunities for few elites to maximize their personal wealth?

If yes then I must tell you that it's time for you all to re-think and get yourselves out of these myths, dogmas and rituals defined by few elites who have been treating us as slaves since the beginning. It's time for all of us to say no to this religion and look for the real and beneficial system of life. We need to strive and create our societies free of greed and selfishness, where collective interest and collective growth should become a priority, rather than personal gains.

Agree with you 100%. It's an incredible co-incidence that I always find you writing something that is playing in my mind!! I think we have understood the problem well enough. Some solutions are playing up in our minds. Let's start shaping them into something concrete. Allah will support us in unimagined ways!

Brother Naushad, I feel so glad to see you :)

You said;

Let's start shaping them into something concrete.

Exactly that is the reason why I have raised this question here.
I wan't to know what exactly does Quran says when it uses the word ٱلْمَالَ because this, when understood in line with my research, will provide a clear understanding regarding what kind of socio-economic system we need to work for. I can help others with my knowledge and others can help me with their's and this is how we can move ahead to get something concrete out of it.

And sir, your comments gave me a lot of confidence, since I know that you are also from a professional background and you understand these things quite deeply.

Salamo Rahmat Dear junaid, islamic system seems to be about collective wealth creation then splitting it for daily uses and special uses ie holding on to some as reserve and distributing the rest amongst community members to use as it suits them.

To me split is one fifth at least to be reserved if more is not possible under the circumstances. The quran is clear about it in surah 8 . It is wrongly translated as war booty in my view. It means surpluses that community must produce for future reinvestment and emergencies etc. Also as community grows so do its needs.

Salaam;

Brother Mughal, thank you so much for your valuable input. In fact It does make a lot of sense to me.

Now I would like to ask a general question to everyone:
Can ٱلْمَالَ be interpreted as GDP?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gross_domestic_product

NOTE: According to what I have understood so far, أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ stands for resources available, whereas ٱلْمَالَ is the GDP.
