Dear brother Bilal Khan,
Whatever material about Namaz we were able to collect from our history, ahaadith and from the Book of Guidance, we have incorporated into two books on the subject. Both the books are available on the pages of this website for reading and downloading.
Moreover, the pages of this Blog, which is your Blog too, contain lengthy articles, discussions and debates on the subject of your question.
Even a prominent Zoroastrian gentleman has lodged his claim to us Muslims, on this blog, saying that we have stolen his Namaz and have included and adopted it into our faith without clearance from them. He wrote his claim quite explicitely, highlighting the details of timings and format of Namaz, proving that it is quite identical to their Namaz in every detail.
So friend, personally, I do not see any logic in coming back to a subject again and again. Your questions are fully answered in advance in the above literature. Please try to go through.
Moreover, friend, as a matter of policy, we avoid making 'claims' or issuing 'fatawas'. It is a friendly discussion and is aimed at reaching the ultimate truth concealed behind 'a concocted mythology' called the Religion of Islam. Since mythology is always embodied in, and manifest through, dogmas and rituals, so we must analyze and put under strict scrutiny those dogmas and rituals that we have been led to follow, to reach their essence and question their feasibility in these modern, scientific and rational times. In this spirit , we had to analyse the ritual of worship called 'Namaz'. You will find plenty of material to make up your mind.
What the Book of Guidance, the Quran, does not prescribe, and we still are forced to follow due to our particular mindset, just cannot be the right way, in my opinion. Sometimes we are convinced that something is not right, why then we still want 'a small part' of it always occupying and adversely influencing our psychology?
Why can't we be blunt and bold enough to take a final decisive step and say: I do not accept it as it is not prescribed by the Almighty - Or, I do not agree with your viewpoint as all the past generations of Muslims have been following it.
If you are willing to take one of the above absolute decisions, we would respect your opinion.
Rituals of worship, like Namaz, are an essential part of 'Religion', my friend. Islam, as enshrined in Quran, is not a
'Religion'. It is an ideology of peaceful governance with the aim of providing sustenance to all the humanity, without insult, disgrace, injury and fear, so that the journey of evolution continues without hinderance. This true face of Islam has been kept concealed from Muslims, as it appears, after the first 40 years of its emergence.
God bless you.
