Near-death Experiences Occur When Soul Leaves Nervous System’
LONDON, 31 OCT: A near-death experience occurs when quantum substances which form the soul leave the nervous system and enter the universe at large, according to a ground-breaking theory proposed by two eminent scientists.
According to this idea, consciousness is a programme for a quantum computer in the brain which can persist in the universe even after death, explaining the perceptions of those who have near-death experiences. Dr Stuart Hameroff, Professor Emeritus at the Departments of Anesthesiology and Psychology and the Director of the Centre of Consciousness Studies at the University of Arizona, has advanced the quasi-religious theory, the Daily Mail reported. It is based on a quantum theory of consciousness he and British physicist Sir Roger Penrose have developed which holds that the essence of our soul is contained inside structures called microtubules within brain cells.
They have argued that our experience of consciousness is the result of quantum gravity effects in these microtubules, a theory which they dubbed orchestrated objective reduction (Orch-OR). Thus it is held that our souls are more than the interaction of neurons in the brain. They are in fact constructed from the very fabric of the universe ~ and may have existed since the beginning of time.
The concept is similar to the Buddhist and Hindu belief that consciousness is an integral part of the universe ~ and indeed that it is really all there may be, a position similar to Western philosophical idealism, the paper said. With these beliefs, Dr Hameroff holds that in a near-death experience the microtubules lose their quantum state, but the information within them is not destroyed. Instead it merely leaves the body and returns to the cosmos.
“Let’s say the heart stops beating, the blood stops flowing, the microtubules lose their quantum state. The quantum information within the microtubules is not destroyed, it can’t be destroyed, it just distributes and dissipates to the universe at large,” Dr Hameroff told the Science Channel’s Through the Wormhole documentary.
“If the patient is resuscitated, revived, this quantum information can go back into the microtubules and the patient says ‘I had a near death experience’,” Dr Hameroff said. pti

2.Brother Abdullah Bashoeb!
According to this idea, consciousness is a program for a quantum computer in the brain which can persist in the universe even after death. If we may consider it true in the same sense of Al-Rooh mentioned in Quran even then it doesn’t fit, rather raise/questions to be answered.
(1). This rooh has not been given to every one [personality] refer to verse 40/15: يُلْقِي الرُّوحَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ عَلَىٰ مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ لِيُنْذِرَ يَوْمَ التَّلَاقِ
(2). There should be different type of Rooh defaulted in different living creature THE HUMAN HAS THE ROOH OF God [Allah] refer to verse 15/29 : فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِي فَقَعُوا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ
(3). If Rooh [consciousness] is a program for a quantum computer and installed in a mind, then human becomes robot working through out in his life at the program installed 32/9: ثُمَّ سَوَّاهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِهِ then what about the accountability.
IN FACT ACCORDING TO QURAN ROOH IS THE COMMANDMENT OF ALLAH GIVEN TO HUMAN BEING [the intellect being called rasools] 42/52: وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ رُوحًا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا. THE VERSE 17/85 MUST BE READ IN ITS CONTEXT, WHICH ALSO MEAN Al-Kitab.
The major part of brain consists of memory cells, combining with state of energy into a coherence of mind. The consciousness is the resonant state of memories like the field of electromagnetism. The bank of memory cells itself is not the consciousness (mind).
The micro tubules of living structures can convey the greatest range of wave lengths contain energy not only from human but from all animal kingdom, enable it to last in time domain, this could not be called Rooh in religious sense, nor Quran support it.
The life exists on the basis of cell division process from the beginning and carries though out the life, the deformation of cells releases energy could be monitored/sense by the physical instrument .
Thus quasi-religious theory of soul to define life/death, doesn’t work according to material physics the theologists or “scientist of Meta physics” are wrongly connecting this phenomenon to support the religious concept.

4.Salam Wa rahmah: You are welcome brother Abdullah Bashoeb, where you been, seems busy. could you join the Aastana forum at Facebook too?
Would you like to enlighten the Aastana members about "Al-Kitab and Al-Quraan" are these two different terms/words having different sense?? [some body asked for].
