1.Sister Nargis !
NAFS AL-AMMARAH = Bad soul (evil personality) as prophet Yousuf pointed out in verses 12/53. This type of personality develops due to one’s bad deeds refer to verses79/37-39.
NAFS AL-MUTMAINNAH = A good soul (developed personality) refer to 89/27, it develops due to one’s good deeds as described in verses79/40-41.
NAFS AL-LAWWAMAH = This is in-between state of personality who reprimand him-self on his short-comings, which ultimately develops him self, it is referred in verse 75/2 وَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِ
Yousuf Ali: And I do call to witness the self- reproach spirit: (Eschew Evil).
To know the sense of “GOOD and BAD” soul, you have to read the verses 91/7-10
91/7 وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا (By the Soul, and the proportion and order given to it).
91/8 فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا (And its enlightenment as to its wrong and its right).
91/9 قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن زَكَّاهَا (Truly he succeeds that purifies it).
91/10 وَقَدْ خَابَ مَن دَسَّاهَا (And he fails that corrupts it).
