Q.Dear Members: As we see, there are many animals on earth those are very strange in creature, then why Allah emphasized at CAMEL being the most strange animal refer to verse 88/17 ??????
By: Mujeeb On: 2/6/2012

1.Brother Mujeeb!
In verse 88/17 infect the comparison between unnatural disarranged with the visible most balanced natural systems functioning in the universe has been described.
Abila, Ibilee, means FAULT, INCONSISTENCY, UNLAWFUL FULL.
Have you not observed (compared) the inconsistent / unlawful/faulty creature, how they are arranged (normally by the unnatural man made). We have to consolidate verses 67/3-4 with 88/17-20 to comprehend the true sense of the verse under question.
And at the Sky, how it is raised high?
And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?
And at the Earth, how it is spread out?
The word الْإِبِلِcame in verse 6/144 is not for camel as well, rather the whole context especially the verses 143-146 would define the true sense of the quranic term الْإِبِلِ.

7.AA dear sister Maniza my well thought out interpretation of this surah is yet to come but due to being busy I have not been able to interpret more of the surahs yet. Here is my hurried understanding about it. I would suggest following youtube links to help you make better sense perhaps in light of explanation of parwez sb marhoom.

53 Surah an Najm Ayah 14 To 18

Surah 53 AN-NAJM – The Beacon For Peace

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

[1] I cite as evidence the beacon/goal for peace as it takes him along,

[2] therefore your companion neither strays, nor misguides,

[3] or attributes anything to Allah as His revelation that is result of his own thought process

[4] rather this Qur’an is revealed to him as a revelation

[5] which He is taught by the one full of strength,

[6] the one with power has thus perfected him

[7] to the highest standard for mission of guidance of mankind.

[8] For he approached wisdom intellectually and got to the stage whereby he could benefit from our revelation so we completed his circuit of knowledge with the Quran.

[9] like joining of two bows that make the circle complete,

[10] and that is how Allah revealed to Muhammad the Quran that He wanted to reveal.

[11] and that is why his heart did not deny that about which he was given insight.

[12] Will you then fight with him over what he has learned that you have not bothered with?

[13] He can refer to the guidance any time henceforth

[14] To reach the ultimate goal of establishing the divine constitution beyond which none should go

[15] because therein rests a world full of bliss.

[16] Before he knew this goal and its constitution the life was surrounded in mystery for him.

[17] He never gave up on learning nor was he disappointed about it after he became aware of it

[18] because he did indeed come across some of his Lord’s great lessons.

This surah seems to be about preparation work needed for a person himself before he begins teaching others. The knowledge that comes from observing universe and things in it and the knowledge that come from Allah and then using this intertwined knowledge to prepare humanity for a better life in this world.

9.[19] So have you O prophet seen in your lessons any authorisation for concept of (Al-Laat) the sovereignty of a human over other human beings and about concept of (Al-Uzza) the authority of a priest over people

[20] and about the third one (Manaat) the concept of piggyback economy?

[21] Is it proper in your view that some of you should have the power to rule others and for the others to be weak and be ruled?

[22] This indeed is an unfair division of power and wealth!

[23] These are nothing but concepts which you and your forefathers have invented, Allah has not granted any authority about these division. The opposers of divine revelation follow nothing but their selfmade concepts and the harmful and destructive ambitions of their own even though the right guidance of Allah has already come to them from their Lord.

[24] Or do you the mankind still think man should be left to his own destructive devices after seeing the results of his doings?

[25] No, not at all, because to Allah belongs first and the final say in all matters being the creator and sustainer of all that exists.

copy pasting an earlier post by Brother Moazzam

Plz try to find out the divine message in the Surah (Alnajam). The complete text of the Surah may builts following inference. 1:- this is the period when Momineen arguing and debating the people of their society to convince them about the true divine message ( to establish the welfare state), see the verse 53/1-18 .
2:- The mala al qaum (elite class) uses their three tactics, UZZA,LAAT,MANAAT (the ruling class, capitalists, the religious leaders), same as firaun, qaroon, haman, in the Musa’s time, to pull down / discourage the momineen’s efforts.

3:-The elites of the society always miscalculates their power with respect to the Momineen, as usual they following their forefathers foot steps. See the verses 53/23.

4:-Malaika (activist momineen) are not week (don’t under estimate) rather they are bound to follow the state rules (they are not independent in their action and deeds) see the verse 53/26.

5:- The people those not like to see the established divine state, they under estimate the Malaika’s power. See the verse 53/27-28.

6:- Now from 53/29-62 the consequences for non-believers and benefits /fruits of the divine state( welfare state established by the struggle of momineen) has been described.

11.Sister Maniza! The verses from 1-22 of Surah Najam are the most misinterpreted ones [which turned the Deen e Islam into myth].Please find my translation here under for the same. At some places i agreed with brother Mughal's translation as well.
I cite as evidence, the true sign of guidance when followed.
Your companion neither stray, nor mislead.

Nor does he say (aught) of (his own) Desire.
It is no less than inspiration sent down to him.
He was taught by one Mighty in Power.
The one with power has thus perfected
He[the prophet] is at the highest standard of wisdom plotted in the universe (see the 41/53)
Then he approached and came closer [for he approached wisdom intellectually and got to the stage whereby he could benefit from our revelation so we completed his circuit of knowledge with the Quran.]

Like joining of two bows that make the circle complete,
That is how Allah revealed to His servant the message [written in Quran+ in the universe] that He wanted to be conceived in his mind.
And that is why his heart did not deny that about which he was given insight.
Will you then dispute with him over what he has learned?

Certainly he viewed it from other angle of comprehension.
At the ultimate vision, where the Confound and amaze ends up.
Because therein rests a world full of bliss.
This is the vision where dazzling starts [for normal people]
He never gave up on learning nor was he astray about it [after he became aware of it].
Because he did indeed come across some of his Lord’s great evidence [lessons].
So have you O people seen in your society the behaviors[tactic] such as اللَّاتَ (Al-Laat) and الْعُزَّى (Al-Uzza).
And another, the third (tactic),
Should only you have the right to rule, the state will keep on weakens to be ruled?
This indeed is an unfair division.
